From jazzing up shell schemes to designing your dream stand from scratch, we have got some great tips on how to work effectively with your budget. 1. Shell Scheme stands
What is a Shell Scheme? Well, in short, it’s walls that the venue has provided to create a small space for your company to exhibit. This is an example of a shell scheme that we dressed up with graphics, lights and furniture for 2G Robotics & Statti.
2. Shell Scheme with flooring
This is another example of a Shell Scheme we did for Doulton Water Filters, but we took it a step further by changing the flooring. This is a great way to finesse your stand and make it stand out against the carpet.
3. Shell Scheme 'booth'
Again, we can take the shell scheme design further by creating a more defined space and giving more of a ‘booth’ vibe. These were P5 & CreatorIQ.
If you choose to design your stand from scratch, you get so much more creative freedom. You can add some really unique features to your stand such as
4. Hanging Signage
Here we injected lots of personality into this stand design by including a range of interior decor. From the hanging banner signage, flower and plant arrangements to the neon lights for Timely. This is a great example of utilising lighting to add vibrancy to a space.
5. Fascia Boards
Fascia boards or header boards run around the top of the frame of your shell scheme on the open sides and note your company name, so that you’re detectable in the bustling exhibition hall. Here we have transformed the fascia for Fellowes by curving the signage.
6. Walkthroughs
Net Zero Technology Centre wanted a way to engage attendees for longer periods of time, so we incorporated meeting pods in the inset of the wall with the LED lights around it. We then added walkthroughs in the middle of the stand to create an interactive, stand out element.

7. Screens
To create more space visually for ProtectAVan, we attached screens at either end of the unit instead of screwing them into the walls.
8. Incorporate nature
Bring the outside indoors like Graphnet with natural textures like the wood panels and lots of greenery with these raised planters and wall potted plants.
9. Modern 3-sided stands
Traditional 3-sided stands risk feeling a little claustrophobic and are more difficult to draw attention to. Which is why for MTG we left the front of the exhibition stand clear and included a hanging banner above to open up the space horizontally.
