Insideout Events, founded in 2003, originally operated as an agency coordinating with clients on their exhibition needs, utilising a separate exhibition stand build company for the physical construction of stands. In 2014, following the retirement of the original owner, Insideout Events merged with its stand-building partner to consolidate all services, continuing its commitment to its established client base under one unified operation.
For the last 10 years, Insideout Events has been able to operate on a 360-degree basis; from the initial contact with customers to the final stand build and everything else in between.
We are a small and very close-knit team with half of us being family members and the other half, being long-term employees and friends who have become as good as family. We believe that our respectful and caring family values are replicated in the service that we offer to our customers and are often praised by clients for the honest advice and genuine passion and concern for every single exhibition stand we build as if we are building to represent our own business.
Growing up around the events and exhibition industry, Gemma finally joined the family business in 2016, initially to manage sales, marketing and the general growth of the business, her previous experience in running her own recruitment agency, provided the skills to rapidly succeed in moving the company forward.
In late 2020 Gemma took over the management of the entire business from her Father, Warren.
After a long career in events Warren was ready to pass over the reins to Gemma (although you may still spot him helping out from time to time).
Gemma now leads the full time team on a daily basis and she will always be your first point of contact for communication and deliverables, prior and throughout your event
Bret has over 30 years experience in the events and exhibitions industry and joined the business in 2008. Bret works remotely from Manchester and has always been our lead exhibition stand designer who will always liaise with clients in Gemma’s absence.
Bret is essential to our business operations and we could not live without him!
Joined the team in 2013 with no experience in carpentry, however we valued Sind’s enthusiasm to learn. Since then he has gone from strength to strength and now manages the production of everything you see on our exhibition stands. Sind and Gemma went to school together and so like the rest of the team, is more than just an employee.
The Cousin of MD Gemma and has been with the business for almost 10 years . Cieran started off as our store man looking after stock and ensuring that the workshop remained organised. Over the years Cieran has built up to building exhibition stands on site and now gets more involved in the production of the exhibition stands too.
Davey came on board during the 2020 lockdown for COVID19, initially to assist with building our outdoor buildings business that we had set up to get us through the pandemic, however Davey got stuck right in demonstrating a strong work ethic and eagerness to help customers and so it was a no brainer to ask him to join our exhibitions team.
Lee is one of the newer members of Insideout. Lee came on board to help out during our busier periods with family ties to Davey. He has proved to be extremely hard working and eager to learn about the industry and so we have brought him on as a full time member of the team.
George has been working within the exhibitions industry for 10+ years. A hardworker with a keen eye and great attention to detail makes him an invaluable member of the team. You will be sure to see him on many of our stand builds, in the UK and beyond!
In addition to the key staff above, during busy periods other family members such as Gemma’s Father and Brother will assist with building and dismantling exhibition stands at the show venues.
